Long time no entery

Hey guys!  Long time no entry!! I just got back from visiting my friends in New Jersey.  It was nice to see old friends, see my family, and my old church.  Please keep praying for my  2 year old niece Brooke.  She had Brain surgery in the beginning of March to correct a disfunction in her Brain called Arnold Chiari Malformation.  Basically her skull is too small for her brain and her cranium tinsels fall too far and block the flow of spinal fluid.  This causes headaches, numbness and tingling in her arms and legs, and blurred vision.  Anyway, they cut off the arch of her C-1 and carved out the base of her skull to make room for more fluid flow.  But she is still having problems. There is a collection of fluid still building where they did not cut, b/c they would have had to open the thing protecting her brain. But it looks like they will have to open it and put a stint in to redirect the flow of the fluid.  if they carve out too much more of her skull her cranium could fall and cause even worse problems.  So she off to see the neurosurgeon again on the 27th of this month.  So pray for wisdom, pray for her mom holly.  Brooke is in pain everyday, either the pins and needles in her legs or headaches, and her mom has Leukemia and is loosing weight rapidly b/c of the stress.  Holly is not saved and is a single mom, she had 2 other children to look after as well.  And my nephew Shane who is 6 has ADD, ADHD, ODD, and what ever else you can diagnose a child w/ for behavioral problems.  So he is a handful. It's a very stressful situation.  Anyway so this past week i got to spend the week with all of them and help out as much as I could.  But I am missing them pretty bad.  Anyway here are some pics of Cortney, Shane, and Brooke so you can see how adorable they all are.

One and only entry from Nicaragua

Hey guys!  Well this will be my only entry from Nicaragua.  We don't have access to a computer at the compound and we are at Larry and Bev's house watching the superbowl.  This is the FIRST time we have been able to just sit and relax w/o a schudle.  It's soooo nice!!! Well we arrived safe and sound after a long and cramped flight.  But Praise the LORD all our luggage got here ok.  Saturday night was mostly getting aquanted w/the compound, checking out what needed done and unpacking.  Sunday, the church body in Nagarote came down to the compound for church,  it was nice hearing the testimony's and watching them praise the LORD.  After we went to lunch and then drove up to Nagarote and looked at their 4 walls that make up their church.  Their church building was 4 walls, that were poorly built and no roof.  Monday started the hard work.  We got a lot of painting done, one door put up and some counters mostly built.  I also got a rash.  Apperently I am alergic to something in the air here in Nicaragua.  I have a rash that is over my neck and up my face.  I was about to rip my skin off by Wed but Bev came up with a good cream that heals it mostly.  I just have to keep putting it on or it comes back.  So PRAISE the LORD!!! Monday night I didn't sleep so good.  I sat on my bed for about 45 min, talking to Cathy Johnson and doing my devo's.  After that I was quite ready for bed.  I pull down my covers before turning off the lights, and low and behold a scopion had been sitting on my pillow INCHES from where i had been w/o my knowlege.  Well what do you do when you have a scopion on your pillow.  What any smart girl would do... Go get some guys!  So Andrew Roberts and Jim Pearson became my heros as they took care of it for me.  The next day was followed by more painting and other things.  We praise the Lord for protection in many ways on Tue.  first scaoffoling broke with Keith Hague and Mike Kildal on it.  No one was hurt.  Second a grass fire about 1/2 mile from us blazed for a good 4-5 hours, filling the air with thick burning smoke.  PRAISE the Lord again, the fire fighters we able to put some of it out before the wind turned it.  Friday we went sight seeing.  But I can't say all that has happened b/c I have limited time on this computer.  and really need to get off.  i just wanted to let all of you know that so far the LORD had really protected us and things have gone pretty good.  It would be inadiquate to try and describe how beatiful it is here.  so I'll wait to show you some of the thousands of pictures we have taken.  Well God Bless and I am praying for you as you are praying for us.
